ARCOLA -- The Tri-County boys' golf team placed first and Arcola-Arthur were second in a quadrangular match at Arcola on Tuesday. Tri-County topped Arcola-Arthur 166-177, while third place Sangamon Valley finished with a 192 and Shiloh ended with a 228.

Team Punta Gorda held a successful charity golf tournament Aug. 20 at St. Andrews South in Punta Gorda Isles. The weather was beautiful, and more than 80 golfers showed up to compete, according to St. Andrews pro John Sileno, who posted scores and handed out the prizes.
