He is the first former tour winner to take a Nationwide event since Guy Boros won the 2003 Dayton Open.

Mark Calcavecchia struggled with his putter in the final round and made just one birdie on the weekend, but ended a four-year winless streak by closing with a 1-over 71 Sunday for a one-stroke victory at the Canadian Open. Ben Crane closed with a 66, and 2004 U.S. Amateur champion Ryan Moore had a 70 to finish tied for second.
